Painting and drawing tutors

Our painting and drawing courses in Italy, are led by superb, top class artists and tutors (all extremely friendly and approachable) who will give individual students the benefit of their extensive experience and skills, giving you the perfect opportunity to learn technique, explore a variety of media and realise your potential.

On each course of eight to ten students there will be two tutors.

Andrew James,
Vice President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters

Andrew James is an artist living and working in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK.

Andrew is the Royal Society of Portrait Painters vice President.

Antony Williams, RP, PS, NEAC,

Antony trained at Farnham College of Art and Portsmouth University.

He works almost exclusively in egg tempera which can be a painstaking and exacting medium, but which allows him to express a feeling about the look of the world.



 

Matthew Alexander RBA  

We are thrilled to welcome Matt Alexander for our May 2nd Oil Masterclass Landscape. Due to join us next year, he's stepped into the breach to replace dear Oliver who has become unwell.

Jenny Wheatley RWS, NEAC

We are pleased to welcome Jenny for a Master Class in Landscape for the week commencing 5th September 2012.

We are delighted to have Jenny on board for a week with us and are looking forward to seeing our beautiful Umbrian countryside, villages and towns through her eyes.



 

Anastasia Pollard RP

Will be joining Arte Umbria to run an Oil Painting Course on 23rd May 2012 for one week covering still life and portrait for all level of painter.

With a true enjoyment of, and a wealth of experience in teaching, Anastasia’s zest for life and tutoring brings a new dimension to Arte Umbria’s courses.






Victoria Gamberoni BSA, AFAS

Will be running a Watercolour and Oil course with us on 16 May 2012.

Victoria lives and paints in the West Country. For many years she has taught and run workshops in Water Colour, Oil Painting, and Drawing in Bath in addition to running painting courses in France and Italy.

 

Bridget Orlando,
Artist

Bridget is running classes in painting and drawing at Arte Umbria in 2012. Her vibrant personality adds a touch of bohemianism to the classes, we are lucky to have her.

Ursula Sykes,
Graphic designer and botanical artist

Ursula teaches a variety of art classes at Littlewick Green and a local school, predominantly watercolour, also drawing and life drawing.
