Directions to La Tentua di Poggiolame
From Florence and Rome
Follow the Motorway A1, take the exit at Fabro and follow the S.P. 57 heading for Montegabbione. At Montegabbione take the right turning for Montegiove/Pornello; after 4.4 kilometres take the track on your left after opening a green barrier. This is the 1 kilometre drive to the Poggiolame Manor House. The track is indicated by the green barrier, and green post box to the left. If you reach Montegiove, you have gone too far.
From Perugia
Take the S.S. 220 (Pievaiola) in the direction of Città della Pieve; after Tavernelle, at the next fork bear towards Piegaro/Montegabbione; after Piegaro head for Montegabbione but do NOT go into the village. Go straight on until you see a turning to Pornello on your left (the SP58) then after 4.4kilometres take the track on your left after opening a green barrier. This is the 1 kilometre drive to the Poggiolame Manor House. The track is indicated by the green barrier, and green post box to the left. If you reach Montegiove, you have gone too far.

By Plane
The nearest airport is Perugia S.Egidio (40 minutes) but you can also fly to Rome (Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci and Ciampino) and Florence (Firenze Peretola). Both Rome and Florence are a 90 minute drive from Poggiolame, and you can get the local train from both airports to Fabro-Ficulle railway station. Ryanair fly to Perugia from London-Stansted and Easy Jet fly into Rome. All major airlines fly into Rome or Florence.
By Train
The nearest railway station is Fabro-Ficulle (15 minutes from the house),connected to Rome and Florence by through trains; other train stations are Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (35 minutes) and Orvieto Scalo (30 minutes) connected to Rome and Florence by express trains (Intercity).
