The Accommodation

Poggiolame is our private estate of 220 acres (88 hectares). The accommodation is in the Manor House, set in the centre of the estate, reached via a kilometre long drive providing total privacy and exclusivity.

All around the Manor House is a superb landscape, thick with forest and woodland - pine and cypress, olive groves, walnut and fruit trees - rich with lavender and wild flowers.

Green hills and mountains stretch as far as the eye can see. In the distance hamlets, medieval castles and towers peek through early morning mists, when wild boar and deer can be seen foraging.

Sunrise and sunset in this magical landscape are spectacular.

In amongst the forest on our estate are many streams with mini cascades to discover. We have marked several trails out for our guests, which cross these streams and you can discover the nature trails made by wild boar, deer, porcupine and other wildlife.

The accommodation at Poggiolame retains the cosy and comfortable style of an old traditional Umbrian manor house, but has been enriched by precious objects and items of furniture - a melange of antique and modern.

The Manor House is fully equipped with every amenity to ensure total comfort and convenience.

It has 950 square metres of living space on two floors and, as well as the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and utility areas, it has a large study/reading room, a spacious living room with fireplace, a television room (SKY Italia with English programmes) and a dining room. There is free WiFi for those who require it.

The ground floor of the Manor House opens onto a stone-paved terrace perfumed by lemon and almond trees with stunning views over the breathtaking landscape. The estate amenities include a 7 x 14 metre swimming pool, which has a changing room, shower facilities and bar.

We will allocate rooms on the basis of the nature of the bookings made, but, with lots of space (12 bedrooms, most with private bathrooms) couples, singles and friends can easily be accommodated with ample space for privacy and contemplation if required.
